Not sure if Learn To Skate is for you?  Come to our Open House Intro sessions and try it out. 

Learn to Skate is a great way to get started with ice skating for the recreational skater and for competitive skaters.

Our program follows Learn to Skate USA guidelines. 

Learn to Skate USA is endorsed by US Figure Skating, USA Hockey, and US Speedskating.

 

Participants should arrive at noon to get checked in and to get skates.

Dress warmly.

Helmets are not required but are highly recommended. 

Rental helmets are not available.

 

Learn to Skate Intro!

12:30 PM - 1:30 PM

$10 per student No Registration Necessary

 

Bridge Intro

(For students in Basic 3 and above)

Explore the world of  figure skating with Bridge! 

Bridge is an enrichment opportunity compatible

with Learn To Skate.

1:30 PM - 2:00 PM

$10 per student No Registration Necessary

 

$15 for students who sign up for both intro sessions!

 

2019-2020 Learn to Skate Session Dates

     

Session 1:  September 21 - November 2                  

Session 2:  November 9 - December 21                   

Session 3:  January 4 - February 15                        

Session 4:  February 22 - March 28                         

 

All sessions are on Saturdays from 12:30 PM - 1:30 PM. 

Each session day includes skate rental, a 20 minute group lesson, and structured

practice time.  Beginner level skaters participate in supervised games

and practice time with skating assistants when not in their group lesson.

Skating aids may be used on the ice for beginner skaters.

 

Skaters may receive a 10% discount by registering for all four Learn To Skate Sessions at once.  

A separate registration item in the registration menu is set up for this option.

 

Helmets are not required but are recommended.  GCCC does NOT provide helmets.
