Program Description
Our After School House Hockey Program is a 6-week, non-league hockey program for boys and girls grades 4 to 8.
Participants will have one Tuesday practice per week from 3:30 PM-4:20 PM at Canandaigua Civic Center
*Registration is limited to 40 participants.
Program Goals
Our goal is for participants to have fun playing hockey while learning about the game and developing the skills to participate in the sport. Our program is open to beginning hockey players as well as those who have played in the past or are currently in a league program.
Program Philosophy
Hockey is a fun, life-long sport. There is room for anyone and everyone has potential to grow. Put into practice, this means that the time on the ice will be put to good use to learn skills to become competent players. Your child will train the same is if he or she were playing in a league.
Coaching
Former McQuaid Jesuit High School hockey coach Al Vyverberg is pleased to be part of our coaching staff for the After School Hockey Program.
*Please note that while hockey experience is not a prerequisite for After School Hockey, this is NOT a learn-to-skate program.
